Microsoft Windows Server 2008 is not
supported on NetBackup versions prior to 6.5.2.
NetBackup 6.5.2, currently planned
for CY2Q08, initial NetBackup support is scheduled to include:
- x64 client
and agents for Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL Server
- x64 media server for
the majority of currently supported WS2003 x64 devices
- x64 client support
for Microsoft Cluster Server 2008
- BasicDisk media server option

AdvancedDisk media server option
- SSO - Shared Storage Option
- NOM -
NetBackup Operations Manager
NetBackup 6.5.x master server is not
currently planned for WS2008. The next Major version release of
NetBackup is currently planned to support 2008 on Master
Servers.
