Hello Expertise,

Iam new to the world of backup basically from a telecom background,

Requesting all the expertise in this group to help me to build up a solution for the backup, for our mini datacenter.

We have some of the application servers running on Linux platform we are planning to integrate the Backup server also within this small data center.

We have planned a solution having Primary (DISK based storage NAS) and secondary (TAPE Library) backup so that the data’s are moved first to NAS and then backed up periodically to the tape library and Net backup software to manage the Backup and recovery for the network (correct me if iam wrong).

Requesting you all to guide me in the best practices of industry standard used and also can any one explain how the function of each would be in the above mentioned scenario.
