If it is an oracle backup, should the type not be a "4" instead of a "2" like you have.  I don't know of a type "2".

If it is a type 4, then you have to pull it back with RMAN from the Oracle client.

[Veritas-bu] recovery of oracle database using netbackup

Hi All,

Can anyone tell what is the procedure to recover oracle database which are being backed up from netbackup using netbackup script. I tried using the following command, but it is failing from error 227.

bprestore -B -C aloe-b -D aloe-b -p ORA-ALOE-EAI-DD -s 12/05/2007 -e 12/07/2007 -f /home/dasrr/restore_EAI_aloe_source -L /home/dasrr/restore_log_aloe -t 2

Here our client is aloe and I have added the file list in the file restore_EAI_aloe_source. Is it required to make a restore script and do the restore using that??

Thanks & Regards,
