Primary tool to backup a lot of files is:
Flashbackup
But 2.0 million isn't THAT many where if you have a host on gigabit, fast
disks and keep the filesystem defragmented it should not take that long.
When I had problems backing up lots of files, (30-50 million++) on solaris
I used FlashBackup and I cut it down from 6-8 days to about 8-12 hours.
