Good info...thanks Tom...Something I'll look into. Now does anyone have
a sizing recommendation for DSSU. Right now the business retention for
fulls (10tb) (Once a week) is 30 days, and Incrementials (running about
.5 - 1TB per day) is also 30 days.

Thanks
Dan

We have similar setups, and a combination of Flashbackup and DSSU has
been our best result. You will get much better performance to disk than
tape, then run it to LTO without affecting your client. I would also
suggest you split your server into separate policies for each drive
letter, then restrict how many jobs can go to the DSSU at a time (in
other words- a dedicated DSSU for this thing). That will allow you to
get by with a smaller disk footprint, and also spread the backup
overhead out. Your fulls won't all be on the same day, but for the type
of data you describe that probably won't be an issue. The DSSU will also
take care of your multiplexing issue.
