Mount the tape and view the physical images. bpimmedia just reads the image database. The various databases (versions <= 5.x) are well-known for getting out of sync. It is quite possible that you have an inconsistency in your image database. Check to see if NBU considers this piece of media scratch. If so, and you are certain that there are live images on this tape, create a separate volume pool that none of your policies are configured to use and put it in there so it won't get overwritten.

Hello All, I am having a brain cramp. I need to list images on several tapes without mounting them. I thought that bpimmedia or bpmedialist would do it but I can’t find the correct set of Flags/Parameters for these commands. Any help would be appreciated….
