"The client on the Global Zone is responsible for backing up the
"logical zone" "
Do you stop the logical zone, or do you just grab it hot?
I thought there was some issues with backing up everything from the
global zone.
Thanks,

Mike,
The way we are doing it is like this:
The client is installed on the server with the Global Zone. The client
on the Global Zone is responsible for backing up the "logical zone".
Kinda like this:
Server name: ZXY
Server name with Global Zone: ZXY00
Client installed on: ZXY00
All restores always point to ZXY00 as the destination as the Global Zone
has the permissions to write to all mounts.
To restore a file to a mount on the logical node (ZXY) you'd have to set
the destination to ZXY00 and the restore path would be:
/zones/ZXY/root/u02/directory_name
This of course is assuming that you are running the restore from a
master backup server that is backing up the ZXY00 client.
I'll try to provide more details later on this week. Time and work is
pressing right now. [Wink]
