[Veritas-bu] NBU 5.1 to 6.0 Upgrade and Itanium vs. PA-RISC
2007-07-17 16:32:31
We are upgrading from NBU 5.1 MP6 to NBU 6.0 MP4 on HP-UX 11.11
Master/Media servers. The
underlying architecture is HP RP7420 PA-RISC.
Has anyone seen an increase in memory or CPU utilization after upgrading
to 6.0? Has the catalog increased
in size after the conversion?
Digging a little deeper – has anyone experienced the 1.7 GB memory
limitation running NBU as a 32 bit app on HP-UX? Any experience out there with
Itanium? Does NBU actually run
today as a 64 bit app on Itanium (vs. just having NBU support the
architecture)? How about an Itanium
server running in PA-RISC compatibility mode?
Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated
