Not that I am aware of.  You can change barcode associated with a volume
to whatever the barcode reads as now, but I think the mediaID is fixed.

I have done duplications in the past just to correct mediaID problems.
I wouldn't want to do it on a large number of volumes, but for just a
few it shouldn't be a huge issue.
