All,
Richard Mansell, the fellow I found in the archives who had this
problem, replied off list with a fix. You use nbrbutil -dump to find
MDSAllocation for the tape in question. Then nbrbutil -releaseMDS + the
MDS number from the dump. Tape is now free and expired.
