Cheers CJ / Jason
Yes, what was odd, is that the Service in question, was already disabled !

I have restarted the service, stopped it and disabled and will try a backup
again.

Next, if the problem occurs again, exclude as per CJ's comments.

If you happen to have the Technote for this, I would be interested for my
records

You can put in an exclude on the server to exclude that folder:

I think its like

c:\windows\systems32\ntsmdata

There is a technote on Veritas's website that you can either disable the
service or exclude it...
I just excluded it....

Guys
On a NBU 5.1 MP5 Master / Media Setup and a AD client MP5 5.1 Client I see
the following logged

26/02/2007 02:46:53 - Warning bpbrm(pid=6616) from client <CLIENTNAME>: WRN
- Removable Storage Management: unable to export database (WIN32 21: Unknown
error)
26/02/2007 02:46:53 - Error bpbrm(pid=6616) from client <CLIENTNAME>1: ERR -
failure reading file: C:\WINNT\system32\NtmsData\NTMSDATA (WIN32 33: Unknown
error)

I cannot remember the fix for this - the backups are meant to be using VSS
too!
Any suggestions or links?
Thank you
