We do ALL LOCAL DRIVES on our master from our master.  Win2K with NBU 6
MP4.  Just exclude the NBU directories that have the catalog information
in them and do a separate catalog back up job.  We do the ALL LOCAL at 3
PM (our backup Windows starts at 5 P) and we do the catalog back up at 9
AM.

ALL LOCAL DRIVES gets your system state.  At least it does on 5.1.  I
noticed problems before if I had all local drives and system state in
selection for a client

Greetings Everyone,

 

Just a quick question - How does everyone backup there Master Server? Im
running NBU 6 MP4 on W2K3 and I tried doing a full backup (ALL LOCAL
DRIVES AND SYSTEM STATE). Of course I got several DB errors saying the
process was open or being used by another program. 

 

What if my master server crashes? What do I do? I have no Media Servers
in my setup. Please give me all feedback possible.
