Ken,
it doesn't really matter what host is selected in Inventory window in GUI.
I prefer to select the host that actually comunicates with library (host
called Robotic Control Host).
However other hosts that have this library configured as "Remote Managed
Library" can inventory it.
They talk to Robotic Control Host over TCP/IP and send acquired
information to proper Volume Database Host.
Results are the same.

When you have a master server and a media server, do you do an inventory
using the master server as the device host or do you use the media server
as the device host? If you use the media server as the device host, does
that mean the master server cannot use the same tapes? What is the best
practice for this?
Thanks,
Ken
