NDMP STU's have no fragment size, as the image is a single fragment.
 
if you bduplicate an NDMP image to a STU that has a max frag size set,
the image will be fragged during duplication, and thus any restores
performed from the 2nd gen tape will terminate with status 0, but no
files will be restored.
You can recover from this situation by re-duplicating the fragmented
second gen image to a STU with no max frag size, and the image frags
will be reassembled into a single frag.

My non-NDMP units are set to 2048, as checkpoint restart did not work
properly with no limit frag size.

        When setting up NDMP storage units as well as regular production
storage units what should be the max fragment size? I have seen and been
told completely differe3nt settings. Currently we has 512 k for regular
production storage units and 2000 or 2048 set for NDMP storage units. We
use SDLT 320 and LTO3 drives. But I have also seen hat you should set no
fragment size on NDMP storage units. So what does everyone else use to
tune this setting?
