Ive tried that, and that failed, HOWEVER thanks to Martin and a change in
the DB ownership of the tapes I may have just cracked it, but running a
consistency check on the DB at the moment!

So will let you know later!

You could try
bpimage -newserver <newserver name> -id <tape_id>
bpmedia -movedb -m <tape_id> -newserver <newserver name>
