Guys
some of you may be aware, our 2 media servers were destroyed and there is no
going back to them other than introducing 2 NEW Media Servers.
 
Problem I now see is a shedload of tapes that should have expired at the
Beginning of june that are stuck.
 
trying to bpexpdate them with the -host command returns error "cannot
connect to client".
I cannot move them as they are assigned. As i know these tapes are no good,
I need to remove them in preperation for new backups.
 
could I use the -deassign command or vmquery to do this? any help warmly
welcome!!
 
It goes to show... should not go on Holiday... mind you.... maybe it shows
just how little apprecaite how technical NetBackup is !!
