Steve
There are no options like in Windows to set archive bit or choose date/time
- I looked for that, could not find it.

Although it looks like ctime is used to rely on when nbu treats a full and
an incr

So will try that

fulls

This is not UNIX specific but I would verify the following

1) Full and the INC are in the same policy. INC backups only check against
FULLs if they are in the same policy.

2) Not sure if this applies to UNIX but are you doing backups based on
modified time or Archive bit. I have seen some applications (virus scanners
mostly) that change the modified time of a file when it scans it.

I cant think of any reason why a STU change would cause this but a Policy
change could.

Hope that helps
Steve

Guys
Not knowing much about Unix, wonder if you can help

Have a single NBU 4.5 Master backing up a NAS over the Network.

2 weeks ago, they lost their storage unit. This had to be deleted and
re-created using tpautoconf (I think!).
Got it back, and got the backups working.

However, the Cumulative incrementals are doing FULL backups, even though
FULL backups are completing ok.

Is there anything I can check in Unix to find out why it could be doing
this?
Any suggestions welcome
Thanks
