I've run Netbackup on HP-UX for years and don't see many major issues.
I've also run it on Solaris though it has been a while since I did that.
It always seemed to have more issues on Solaris than HP-UX though once
properly configured it seemed to be acceptable on Solaris. There just
seems to be a lot more to look at with the Solaris installations due to
the st.conf, and devs and devices links as opposed to the simple devs
one sees on HP-UX. Given a choice I'd always do HP-UX over Solaris. =20

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Solaris vs. HPUX
=20
Regarding the thread going around concerning bpsched crashing, I believe
I'm having similar issues and as such will begin thinking upgrade. I'm
currently running on HP-UX, but our general direction for new apps
lately has been solaris.
=20
Anyone got an opinion as to whether I should stay on HPUX when I
upgrade, vs. going with a Solaris box?
