I want to duplicate some images (not one-to-one media dupe) from one
library to another (at another site)
=20
currently, most policies are run using "Inline Tape Copy" to both sites,
but several policies, from one resaon or another are writing to only the
lcoal site, but I want to duplicate to the other site (several different
volume pools) and I would prefer to append the local site images to
"active" tapes at the remote site that are currently in the same pool,
rather than one-to-one tape duplication.
=20
best I can come up with is to select all the policies/schedules that
used a particular volume pool, and create a vault job to vault
everything for that policy and schedule to the named volume pool at the
other site, and create a separate vault job for each policy/schedule
pair that would have used a different volume pool, but I'm not sure if
this is going to dupe tape or images.
=20
Going to go get a coffee and curl up with the Vault SAG, but in the
meantime, can anyone confirm the behaviour of the above? or suggest a
more efficient way?
=20
Paul
