Hi.

Are you running the ASA service with localsystem account or something else.
I had an issue when I first installed NBU6.0 and I set the Domain Admin user
for NBU services. The ASA service refused to stay up. After changing only
the ASA service to localsystem it seemed to be OK.

Regards,
Jim

Subject: [Veritas-bu] NB6 MP2 - ASA Server Dies

Well, I finally managed to upgrade to NB6 with everything working (sort of),
but it seems quite buggy. The worst of the problem is as follows:
immediately following a successful offline catalog backup (tape or disk,
I've tested both), the Adaptive Server Anywhere process (dbsrv9) dies which
is a dependency of the EMM database service and the Resource Broker -
therefore, they stop responding.

Normalcy can be restored by stopping the Resource Broker service, then the
EMM service - and restarting all of them. I can't seem to find any
debugging output for the EMM, ASA or RB services. Has anyone come across
this? It's a W2K SP4 master.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks-

Justin King
