Agreed.
=20
But at this point the Netbackup is not even configured completely and no
backups are being initiated through Netbackup.
=20
"sgscan" I guess is just a command to probe devices just as you have
"inquire" in legato. I found it strange that merely running "sgscan" and
not doing anything else would give me this result.
=20
BTW running "inquire" does not do anything to the ADIC library which is
configured with Netbackup.
=20
Thanks
Sandeep

I second Paul's comment...
=20
It has always been HIGHLY recommended (if not mandated) that you
not run NetBackup with any other backup software on the same server.
That being said, doing it on a Master is even worse.=20

I believe Symantec would call that an "unsupported
configuration".

I am running 6.0 MP1 and the Sun boxed is patched with
the latest patches I am not sure whether I should be looking for a
"specific" patch to address this issue. That "specific"patch may not be
at the current level.

I don't have much experience with legato but I
would make sure that i'm running NB 6.0 MP1 and that the Solaris 8
Patches are upto date
