Greg,
You want to check the client service is running...
or you can try from master and media server:=20
telnet client=5Fname bpcd
If you get a connection, you are connected, else client SW is not=20
running...
Hit "return" and you should be disconnected immediatelty. If it takes it's =
time, you have a network config error.
That will prove :
1. client is listening on bpcd, hence client service is running
2. client is able to resolve connecting server
3. client can authenticate connecting server.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Error 58 got me stumped
Ok I have a windows server sitting in the DMZ that keeps failing with an=20
error 58, cannot connect to server name, invalid argument (22). I am=20
puzzled by this error cant figure out why. I have verified all settings=20
are correct. I can ping the master to client, client to master, nslookup=20
works, I can telnet to the bpcd port. I just cant seem to pinpoint why I=20
cant run this backup. Any ideas?
