I am seeing it on my Solaris master server that is running 5.1MP4.

However, I can also see what it causing my problem. In the activity monitor
for the job that gets the 130 status, I can see that the backup is more than
1TB and the 4.5 client can not handle a backup larger than 1TB. It suggests
upgrading the client to a 5.1 software.

The reason that I am just seeing this error is that we are migrating to new
hardware and are bringing the policies to a new master server. I combined 2
policies, but forgot to update the exclude list on the client.

You may not be trying to back up more than 1 TB, but your job monitor for
the job that fails should show you something.

Anyone seen error code 130 and/or reported this to Veritas?

The Troubleshooting guide results were ambiguous; "An error occurred that
prevents the product from operating in a consistent fashion. This error is
usually related to a system call".

I went through all the system and Veritas logs as suggested but didn't see
anything I could point at that may have caused the problem.

I know I've never seen the error on this or any other Master, hmm.

Scott J.
