Hi,
=20
Right, you can do this configuration thru the gui.
=20
There is a lot of possibility to do "partition" on an acsls robot like =
pool, security access with ip address and label rules.
=20
We have, all over the world, a lot of configurations like this, and it =
works very well. Ask SUN ;)

You certainly can set the ACSLS server as the robotic control host using =
the NBU GUI. Just set the library type to ACS and NBU will give you the =
option to specify the ACSLS hostname, and the ACS,LSM,PANEL,DRIVE =
co-ordinates of the drive.=20
Also with ACSLS you can "parition" the library so that each of your NBU =
master/media domains will only ever see their own drives and tapes, =
removing the need for inventory filters in NBU, and eliminating the =
possibility of one master overwriting the other's tapes.=20
On 11/23/05, Paul Keating <pkeating AT bank-banque-canada DOT ca> wrote:=20
Also, a possibility is to use STK's ACSLS application.
=09
You need a small machine, like an old Sun Ultra 10 or something to
install the SW on, and connect to the robotic controller and that
machine acts as the ACSLS host.=20
You then point all of your NBU masters at the ACSLS server.....there
should be an option in Netbackup to pick an ACSLS host as your robotic
controller, but IIRC< you can't do it through the GUI wizard.....has to
=
be configured via CLI.
