To start a new backup you may have to kill off all the old netbackup =
processes running. We have seen them hang, and then a new backup process =
will timeout. You might want to stop the netbackup service then kill off =
all the processes that do not go away. You may have to reboot the =
windows client.=20
=20
Another question to ask. Does this client server have a large number of =
small files that do not change. In the past we have seen times where the =
bpbkar proccess will be doing looking for changed files to send back to =
the backup media/master server but it will take a long time to find =
something. Sometimes the master will timeout the job, but the bpbkar =
will remain running.=20
=20
And there are other questions about snapshots and nic drivers etc.=20
=20
Good luck len

I created the log directories.

create a bpbkar and bpcd directories on the client. Kick off a backup =
and check the logs. Also increase the Logging level.
