I appreciate all the input. I have thought about Aptare and maybe contacting
them for an eval, but then something always comes up. For now, everyone here
is content with the reporting that I have provided, free of charge, of
course. So, that will have to do. 

Ed,
Hopefully in the near future, things will settle down, and if I can persuade
upper management to sign off on my time devoted for this, I can look at
Aptare. If you have any more good and bad  experiences with this product, I
would like to know. thanks again.

For those of us who are considering buying Aptare (or any of the other
products out there that report against NetBackup, since Veritas/Symantec
has NEVER made anything viable), the thoughts of people on this list who
are using something that works well for them are WELCOME.
