Based on what I saw at Veritas Vision in April:

NOM is still pretty basic in structure, but has potential for managing
what is currently running. Longer term, it will likely be a good tool to
use for realtime monitoring, but historical trending analysis will still
be better with a tool like Aptare's Storage Console or Bocada's
BackupReport. NOM is also going to be included in the base package, and
will likely replace the Admin GUI for most operations, with more
interaction capabilities for restarting jobs, restores, etc. where
reporting packages will be just that, reporting packages.=20
