[Veritas-bu] media write error

Frozen means that no further writes will go to the tape. It's still
readable (unless the mechanism is trashed).
First check if there's images on it: "bpimmedia -mediaid <tapenum>". No
images? No worries.
If there's images on the tape and if you're worried about the quality of the
tape in case of restores, duplicate the tape to another. Look at the
"bpduplicate" command with the "-id <tapenum>" option. Use the
"-set_primary 1" so that the new copy is your primary copy for restores. If
the duplicate runs OK, then you'll be fine.

We got the error as media write failed while backing up the client m/c
.Looking at the the medialist summary , that media state is frozen .Is
there anyway to recover the data from that media and can be useable
.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
