I don't do this for Oracle but, I schedule my db backups via cron and
schedule any pre functions via cron. For the post db backup there is
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/dbbackup_notify. It is called by NetBackup after
all the databases have been backed up. You can put what you need to do at
the end of this script.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Pre-post backup scripts for catalog backup

Dear All,

2 enquiries:

1) Is there any way to have pre-post backup script for catalog backup?

2) I would like to place my Oracle RMAN catalog respository DB on the master
server. Then use pre/post catalog backup script to perform cold backup on
the RMAN respository DB. Will I hit any problem?

Tks.
