Justin,

If you go with Brocade, stay away from the SilkWorm 3800.  It uses an old, 
non-Linux core which Brocade is moving away from.
If you go with a 16-port switch, the 3850 is what you should be spending 
new money on.
If you go with a 32-port switch (unless you are a very small shop this is 
what you should be doing) wyou should be going with the SilkWorm 4100, not 
the 3900.
