FWIW we upgraded from 5.0 MP3 to 5.0 MP5 (i.e. we skipped 5.0 MP4) across
the board [*] three weeks ago, and all our error 41's and mysterious hangs
have disappeared. We were seeing the problems on both Windows and Solaris
clients. They stopped as soon as we upgraded the Solaris master/media,
though since they were intermittent anyway, I can't definitely say it was
the server, rather than client, upgrade that fixed it.

[*] a slight lie - we have some Solaris 2.6 clients, which we upgraded to
4.5 MP8 (?) (as my understanding is that 5.0 is not supported on
Solaris 2.6)

I'm afraid I don't know the correspondence between 5.0 MPx and 5.1 MPy

 Richard
