I backup around 1,5 TB a day.
Servers are almost any kind of Windows servers you can find, like SQL, 
Exchange, SPS, file and so on.

The servers are on an ExtremeNetworks Black Diamond 6808 and at the moment 
I only use 1 mediaserver and 3 STK 9940B drives.
The master/mediaserver has 2 Gbit adapters that are teamed together and the 
tapedrives are FC attached via a Brocade 3900.
All servers have Gbit connections
All backups are FULL
I run NBU 5.1 MP2 on Dell 2850 with Windows 2003 server

I haven't done any special tunig of NBU except to use bigger network 
buffers on the media server and the clients.

Some of the servers are very very slow when we talk about backup speed eg 
some very old NT 4 servers with a lot of small files.
Our biggest fileserver has around 450 GB of data.
