I stand corrected, you are right that the Microsoft registry keys 
referenced in that MS KB article do indeed apply to NetBackup backups 
of a windows client.

I must admit that I had to do some tests of my own before I would 
believe it.

That'll teach me to stray from my Unix roots!  :-))
