Anyone had any issues?
=20
back when I was using DLT7000 drives, we had the Dude from Quantum in
every couple of weeks to extract a stuck tape, or reset a "swallowed
leader".
=20
I've been using these LTO2 drives since July for testing, and since
November in production, and for the first time, a drive went down and
when I "upped" the drive in the GUI, it went back down.....there's a
tape in the drive....can't reset the drive, powercycling the drive does
nothing...the drive is not responding.....(SAN attached to two different
servers....same message on both)
=20

bash-2.03# mt -f /dev/rmt/0cbn status
/dev/rmt/0cbn: no tape loaded or drive offline
bash-2.03# mt -f /dev/rmt/1cbn status
/dev/rmt/1cbn: no tape loaded or drive offline
bash-2.03# mt -f /dev/rmt/2cbn status
/dev/rmt/2cbn: no tape loaded or drive offline
bash-2.03# mt -f /dev/rmt/3cbn status
/dev/rmt/3cbn: no tape loaded or drive offline
bash-2.03# mt -f /dev/rmt/4cbn status
/dev/rmt/4cbn: no tape loaded or drive offline
bash-2.03# mt -f /dev/rmt/5cbn status
/dev/rmt/5cbn: No such device or address
bash-2.03# mt -f /dev/rmt/6cbn status
/dev/rmt/6cbn: no tape loaded or drive offline
bash-2.03# ls /dev/rmt/*cbn
/dev/rmt/0cbn /dev/rmt/2cbn /dev/rmt/4cbn /dev/rmt/6cbn
/dev/rmt/1cbn /dev/rmt/3cbn /dev/rmt/5cbn
bash-2.03#

Any trick for freeing the tape other than calling STK?
