Hello Rudy,
=20
I did an SQL and Exchange complete restore with Netbackup 5.0 a couple
of times.=20
You have to make sure you set the "w2koption.exe -restore -same-hardware
1" if you are recovering to the same machine.
After this restore and a reboot you can restore the databases with the
SQL Agent.
=20
I never had any problems with this.
=20
Best Regards
=20
Martin

Betreff: [Veritas-bu] Netbackup Restore

Has anyone tried to restore an application using netbackup? I just did a
test with Netbackup 5.0 where I backed up all attached drives on a
windows 2003 server with just the OS and SQL server. I then did a base
OS install and veritas then tried to restore from a backup I made. I
restored the C drive then system state. The restore completed but the
application will not start. I could see the application in start
programs but nothing in the add/remove programs. Is it even possible to
do this restore?
