Through robtest you can issue an "allow" and "prevent" command to a lot of
libraries that's supposed to allow & forbid "media removal". I'd look there
to see if that's the "software lock".

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Dell 136PV CAP lock

Hi

Has anyone come across a situation where the CAP door on a library can be
locked by the host (backup server) if so how can it be released. The display
panel on the library shows locked and refers to a software lock. So when
tapes are ejected using NetBackup the cap door remains locked and so cannot
remove tapes without opening the main library door

Kind Regards,

Imran
