You are gonna want to bpimport every single tape in a DR situation?
Better tell your bosses that it will take about 1 month for you to
manually get every server restored.  That is the whole reason that you
have the catalog.

In my opinion, it is absolutely essential that your catalog tape is sent
offsite.  When you really need the catalog is in the case of a really
bad disaster, otherwise, you are right, you can just bpimport a tape or
two at a time.  No big deal, but bpimporting 100, 500, 1000 tapes?  

The vault extension for NetBackup allows you to run another catalog
backup and it will handle adding that to your eject reports...
