[Veritas-bu] Installing Netbackup Client on Linux Clients
2005-03-18 12:57:13
I install the linux boxes one of serveral ways:
1. tar-ball a successful linux box, /usr/openv/... & /etc/xinetd.d/bpcd &
install on another server. Alter /etc/services &
/usr/openv/netbackup/bp.conf & you're done.
2. find the "install_client" script and alter the rsh & ftp to ssh & sftp as
appropriate.
3. Turn on r-services temporarily & then turn them off afterward.
I think #1 is the fastest method.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Installing Netbackup Client on Linux Clients
Is there any easy way to install the netbackup linux clients from a non
linux master server?
The linux clients I have only have sftp, and that breaks all of the
install attempts from the NetBackup Master server. Is there an rpm for
the latest netbackup client
