Fine but not an actual restore or backup?

Pings using the FQDN, DHCP id, IP and computer name back and 
Forth work fine - Also the bpclntcmd seems to establish connection -

Is the networking on this client any different? Is it the only XP
client? try using ALLOW_NON_RESERVED_PORTS to see if there is a port
issue between the systems.
