The same problem even I am also having. I am using Sunfire 6800 as media 
and master server. The start up scripts are there in /etc/rc3.b/ When 
the server gets rebooted the process starts fine. If I do restart the 
netbackup process the old tldd, tldcd and avrd process will not get 
killed. A another instance will start of this process.

Any one know what can be the reason.
