I have seen this problem as well. I have been informed these are
"ghost" jobs and fixed in MP4. No we haven't patched yet, so I can't
tell you if the patch fixed these issues. You are welcome to try and
let us know.

I'm running NBU5.0 mp2 on Solaris. I just started having problems with
about=20
8 - 10 clients out of 250. They are all windows clients. For some
reason some of the jobs=20
start but never show any data moving to tape. They never show activity
but the job just runs=20
all night never showing a tape mounting. No connection time outs,
nothing.  The other problem=20
jobs show backup for a while but never complete. These have the
following messages in my bpbrm log.=20

23:59:02.526 [21534] <2> put_long: (11) network write() error: Broken
pipe (32); socket =3D 8=20
23:59:02.526 [21534] <16> bpbrm send_keepalive: could not write
KEEPALIVE to COMM_SOCK=20

Have know idea if the two problems are related. Don't really know what
the problem is. Any one=20
have ideas?   Thanks.=20
