Hi Gang,
Hope the new year is finding everyone happy and healthy. Well I have an
issue with trying to restore an SQL database.

Background:
Master: Win2k SP4, NBU 4.5_FP6
Media: Win2k SP4, NBU 4.5_FP6
Client: Win2k SP4, SQL2000 SP3, NBU 4.5_FP6 (SQL Agent ONLY is used on this
machine)

A large database didn't come back online after a reboot. The system marked
it as Suspect and indicated one of the files was in use by something else.
Several things were tried. The database files were moved off the server.
Restores via the SQL agent failed with a code 5. Turned out the database
had been in a compressed folder and uncompressed was too large for the
drive. Lots of tinkering and working later there is now room on the drive
for the database.

Without creating the database we tried a restore. It created the database
and creates the 60 some odd gig worth of files but does not restore the
data. We keep getting a failure of Connection timed out.

I have not used the SQL restore much so I don't really know what to be doing
here. Do we need to follow the DR restore instructions? Thanks
