Hello Kevin

I assume that these tape drives are connected via copper scsi cables and not
fibre?
I ask because we had problems with our LTO-2 fc drives until we learned to
install a number of Solaris patches. I am not sure if this applies to copper
scsi connected drives.

To help with the solution, What do you see in the /var/adm/messages file and
the netbackup bptm logs?

len

PS I do not think that it has any connection with your problem. But if you
are installing a new system, why did you not go with netbackup 5.1mp1?
