Thanks for the response Jason! :)

Specifically, I am looking for the following messages when on a Windows server:

Dec 3 14:12:21 sunshine tldd[16870]: [ID 625656 daemon.notice] Calling the
drive_mount_notify script, DriveName=Drive0

Dec 3 14:17:41 sunshine tldd[16697]: [ID 717330 daemon.notice]

When I enabled VERBOSE in vm.conf, these messages only showed up in syslog,
not in any of the physical media manager
logs I created under /usr/openv/volmgr/debug. The Media Manager
Administrator's Guides for the two platform differ on the following
points:

[ Windows ]

Event Viewer - Contains general Media Manager logging, including errors.

[ Unix ]

System Log (syslog) - Contains general Media Manager logging, including
errors. All log
messages use the daemon facility. For debug logging,
use the -v option
on the command starting the daemon or use VERBOSE in
the vm.conf file.

Based on this I would assume that the Windows event viewer is the
destination for the same messages I obeserved in my Unix
syslog but I am trying to confirm this from someone who has a Windows
NetBackup server.

Alternatively, does anyone else have a reliable source for these tape mount
/ dismout messages?

Kindest regards,

Peter Buschman
