Hi all

We have about 10 mediaservers running(UNIX - diff flavours) from a SUN
masterserver. Is there a way to synch SSO on all machines, AND to stop
and start Netbackup in a script on all mediaservers from the
masterserver?

Thanx
Winnie

How did you do this for Solaris?

Under the Host Properties for the client, there is a setting for VSP,
that is where the snapshot settings are kept. There is a checkbox to
disable it completely if you need to.

I went through some great pains awhile back when dealing with Linux and
Netbackup, and the best thing to do when dealing with something like
this is to ldd the netbackup binaries to see if any dynamic libraries
are not where the binary expects them to be. Under Redhat, I had to
install some compatibility RPMs in order to load on older C++ libraries
for NetBackup to work, and I suspect Mandrake is the same way (Debian
certainly was).
