You don't do the restore through NBU, it's done directly from the unix
host. Since dump is a BSD command and works on pretty much any unix
flavor you just need to get the media to the proper header and initiate
a restore.

Netbackup won't let you restore an NDMP dump to a unix
machine. I forget the exact error, but it's
equivalent of trying to restore a windows file to a
unix machine.
