[Veritas-bu] IBM 3581 Library
2004-10-21 08:31:25
Thanks Len!
This is a single Netbackup Enterprise (Master) Server on Windows 2003
Server. I'm using the latest tape drivers I could get from the Veritas
site. The 3581 is attached to an Ultra320 lvd scsi host.
The hard part is configuring the robot (whether it can be configured as such
at all in my setup).

Hello Jan
I have not worked with the IBM 3581 but we have worked with the IBM 3584
which except for the missing barcode reader should be in the same ballpark.
1) can you tell the list a little more about your setup.
What is your master/media server hardware and os?
What drivers are you using.
Drive Interface lvd, fc etc? Drive model?
2) You might want to look at the web site http://www.readbook.ibm.com and
search for lto or 3581 for info.
