i would upgrade to fp7... we had issues with 2003 (as
clients) backups.

this isnt the same issue, however i would consider
upgrading to fp7 as ive heard bad stuff on fp5. the
5.x releases (with mp's) seem to run ok, however you
may not be in a position to upgrade to a major rrev.
