Our NBU server was running 3.4.1 on Solaris 2.6 as well.  From what I
had read, to upgrade you would first have to upgrade to 4.5.  Instead
I chose to build a new disk with Solaris 9 and NBU 5.1 on it for
the server and then import the 3.4.1 catalogue from tape.  Worked
well for us.

I don't think 5.1 is supported on Solaris 2.6.  3.4.1 clients on Solaris
2.6 didn't work with a 5.1 server so those were upgraded to 4.5 before
the server upgrade.  5.1 clients didn't install on Sol 2.6.
