Hello

Try to create the dbclient directory under netbackup/logs with 777 
permissions and set VERBOSE=5 in the bp.conf.

If you don't get any logs in the dbclient directory, you have a permisson 
issue in the file system.

Make sure that you also have user_ops with 777 permissions under 
netbackup/logs

Do you get any errorcode in the activity monitor ?
